He's the director of an independent movie project he's working on and Ryan went on about how great the director is but didn't tell me the name. There was the picture he posted and he told me himself that Jack is such a great guy and that he almost went for more before our thing started. I asked him whether he still has his guys and he said he doesn't have guys, then I asked if he was dating someone and he didn't deny it. So, yeah, I'm not quite walking in on them having sex sure, but they're dating.

Which he has every right to and everything, just part of me wants him to sit around alone too.

[ooc: Well...Ryan's thing he talked to Chad about was spring auditions for a touring musical (I'm thinking Hairspray) since it's canon that's what happens in Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure, he gets a part in a touring musical...maybe he can update about it on FB and post a list of dates he's going to be in Albuquerque and we can do another log for them to get them together?

Let's assume like...Ryan's tentatively dating Jack and will be for a while because he thinks that's what he wants and Jack is perfect for him but obviously he still loves Chad, so before they go on tour he and Jack take a break so it's not so stressful so he's conveniently single and if Chad says anything about the show Ryan would invite him and send him a ticket and stuff etc etc.

So basically I imagine it's a weird, shaky spell of talking on and off but not really until about the beginning of April, and then he posts the status. And then he's in Albuquerque around June-ish and then they go from there?

Adding in whatever headcanon you want for Chad for those few months, of course. What do you think?]

He'd show up as being tagged in statuses with Jack and people would post photos of them together but Ryan would be very hush-hush about it. Occasionally post a photo of Jack him and other people so it's very vague but enough to confirm Chad's suspicions me thinks.

He kind of told his parents and his father hasn't acknowledged it and keeps striling up conversation about basketball and everything else but gayness, his mother's started out the same but is now trying to get used to it but might still kind of think it's a phase and he needs the right girl.

He doesn't want to talk to Troy about Ryan again, because he keeps defending him when part of him just feels spiteful, too xD. He went back to playing on the team! Also he thinks his life is the worst and he hates Jack and everything sucks.]

Troy would try bugging Chad once or twice more about it before dropping it but would email at least twice a week with stupid updates and checking in because he wants to be a good friend. Sharpay would stalk Chad from afar but since she's pleased with Ryan and Jack she wouldn't care anymore.

As for Ryan and Jack Ryan is mostly just super conflicted because he's in love with Chad still but he really likes Jack a lot. They started sleeping together again about two weeks after his last talk with Chad. He keeps things vague even when people write on his wall about how perfect they are for each other. He updates in song lyrics a lot, mostly musicals or Disney.

He keeps Kelsi up to date on what's going on. And he's one of the dancers for Hairspray but in his spare time is studying Link's role just in case.

He also has a stack of email drafts he wrote to Chad he hasn't sent yet]

[Chad is trying to fall out of love with Ryan and it's going swimmingly, aka not at all. And he is very angry at him and bitter which is KIND OF SORT OF understandable, since Ryan, from his point of view, kind of gave him that push out of the close saying he'll be with him and then just left him high and dry and he probably doesn't even know any other gay guys. His only support is Troy. xD

And, yeah, he totally sees people commenting about Jack and Ryan and he kind of wishes Ryan would pine for him instead, see, it's all very unfair. I don't think he's very active on Facebook otherwise though..

Kelsi is glad Ryan seems to be doing well! And she thinks he'd be a great Link. But then, she sort of adores him forever.

Chad's not that much of a writer, but, yeah, he's totally written to him too. A lot of it very angry and accusing and some just thoughts about coming out and punching people. Seems to be linked for him.]

[And most likely it doesn't help that Jack looks a little like Troy which was unintentional but Ryan's sort of a sucker for guys with really nice smiles. He's also really, really guilty because he knows exactly what he did and he feels bad but he's standing by what he and Kelsi said, that it's not his fault that he wanted something Chad couldn't give him just then. He's also not that much of a dick to mention it was Kelsi's "fault" though so he'd rather Chad think he's an asshole instead.

Meanwhile Troy will email him articles and links he can find about homosexuality and sports (if he can find them) and be the Disney prince he is. Try to be helpful. Ask Gabriella for help. Be more helpful.

The problem of course is that Jack and Ryan are perfect. "I Kissed a Vampire" finished in mid-March and they will have had a screening by the time Ryan and Chad see each other. Naturally it's campy but it's fun. Also Ryan totally stalks Chad on FB to see if he updates and will notice he's very, very quiet. I imagine he'll be surprised to have heard from him about the Hairspray thing.

Kelsi will get the brunt end of Ryan's moodswings but he never yells at her which is good. He will go to her to moon over Jack but also to pine about Chad and bemoan his life choices. Ryan's still utterly confused and he doesn't expect Kelsi to have answers but he feels better at least talking to her about the fact he's still in love with someone else while he has a boyfriend. She's pretty much his biggest confidant and he likes buying things for her and listening to things she's written. Studying Link's role will possibly pay off for Ryan in Albuquerque unintentionally >_> Because it's RP I do what I want etc etc.

They both have a lot of baggage they've probably written about and refuse to send. Ryan's are a lot about how he's so sorry and how he wants to fix it but he's not capable of it and some stuff about Jack and how he's happy with him but also how Chad made him happy and about Juilliard and generally 18 year old freaking out. He might have shown Kelsi but.

Also he keeps Sharpay limitedly updated so she doesn't blab to Chad, so she might make some snide comments at him in general (not necessarily about Ryan or Ryan's boyfriend) but that's it.]

[No, it doesn't. He keeps checking out Jack's profile to see if there's suddenly any hint of him being a massive jerk he needs to rescue Ryan from. And he remembers that Kelsi said that, so he's not actually too hot on her right now, although he can't really blame her, either. He'd just avoid her if they met.

I'm sure those articles and links will be ever so useful xD what a prince, Troy, what a prince. Gabriella is so sweet too though.

But, yeah, Chad totally likes the theoretical idea of getting a boyfriend just to make Ryan jealous. He's so very far from over him. And he probably mood swings all over the place, too, he doesn't have a Kelsi-equivalent to talk to. That's why he hasn't proceeded with outing himself much yet, because now he's even more worried about losing basketball, since it's his best outlet.

And he would so punch Sharpay.]

Let's be real Ryan's just sort of passive-aggressive sometimes.

Troy's very very intent on making sure Chad knows everything is okay and he's not alone, that's all :( Even if he's not a Kelsi.

God if Chad got a boyfriend Ryan would be furious for reasons he couldn't explain.
